GOLFERS are taking a keen interest in a superb new housing development in
Argyll which has a number of golf courses on its doorstep.
Sound of Kintyre near Campbeltown is close to the world-famous Machrihanish course with its world renowned opening hole which literally plays across the Atlantic ocean.
There are other 18 hole courses at Dunaverty, Southend and nine hole courses at Tarbert, Carradale and on the Isle of Gigha.
This week estate agency Clyde Property said it is receiving increasing interest from golfers who realise the potential of having a home close to so many golf courses. And in a highly significant and rare development, Argyll and Bute Council has just granted planning permission for a new 18 hole links adjoining the existing club at Machrihanish.
This will further enhance the appeal of the area as an even more attractive location for golfers.
A Clyde spokesman said: 'There is no doubt that the golfing appeal of this development is outstanding. Sound of Kintyre's proximity to so many fabulous
courses makes it an appealing choice for anyone keen on golf'.
These exquisite homes which have to be seen to appreciate their quality, are also the ideal choice for a holiday home in tranquil Kintyre which is renowned for its scenic beauty. They offer terrific value for money at fixed prices and we are not surprised that they have been identified as being in the ideal location by golfers. Property near golf courses have traditionally been a particularly good investment.
Developer, Anglohouse Scotland has sold 125 houses across the entire Sound of Kintyre developmentout out of a total of 137 properties. Just 12 remain for sale.
This success confirms the popularity of the development situated a short drive from the thriving Kintyre town of Campbeltown.
The work on the final phase was undertaken by renowned housebuilder Tulloch Homes on behalf of Anglohouse. Of the 22 houses in the final phase, ten are detached three-bedroom villas. A further eight are semi detached three-bedroom villas while there are two semi detached four-bedroom villas. The development is completed with two five-bedroom detached villas.
Each property can be viewed on this website and you can request a brochure by emailing the sales team at soundofkintyre@aol.com or Clyde Property at new.homes@clydeproperty.co.uk or telephone 0141 576 1777.
